Video Podcast Episode #2

Created by Research fellow Dr Tessa Ratuszynska, this video podcast shares collections of interviews with our awarded artists that reflect the research themes emerging from the programme so far.

The podcast brings artists and projects into dialogue with one another in a way that we hope will be engaging and accessible and maybe a little bit immersive. It is for artists, makers and anyone who’s interested in learning more about projects funded through the Immersive Arts programme.

Episode #2

The Invisible Dance || Helen Hall

In this first video podcast interview series, Dr Tessa Ratuszynska spoke to artists whose creative projects included questions of access and inclusion in immersive work. In this episode we hear from Northern Irish Dancer and artist Helen Hall about her project The Invisible Dance. Helen discusses her experience of translating dance through immersive and augmented audio, and the novel ethical considerations when choreographing a dance that happens predominantly inside the audience’s own imagination. The Invisible Dance was funded through the Immersive Arts Experiment Strand.
