Immersive Verse
Immersive Verse
Immersive Verse is an exploration into 360-degree cinema featuring new work by three neurodiverse artists.
Co-Motion, a new CIC connecting neurodiverse artists with creative technology in the South West, is excited to unveil three innovative immersive cinema projects. Commissioned for RIO’s 360 Dome, these works represent the first year of Co-Motion’s pilot initiative, offering neurodiverse artists an opportunity to explore the potential of 360 filmmaking, spatial sound design, 3D animation, and immersive storytelling. Each film plays with our traditional cinematic experience—pushing the boundaries of filmmaking while sharing the unique voices and perspectives of neurodiverse artists.
Zoe Wilton’s sci-fi film, inspired by lobsters and Star Trek, is a bold exploration of how theatre can be integrated into the immersive realm of 360 cinema. Blending elements of musical and absurdist theatre, Zoe’s surreal, hypnotic soundtrack made in collaboration with Cling Clack studios, guides the audience through a dreamlike narrative that is both humorous and otherworldly.
Kyle Coleman’s project delves into the ancient resonance of standing stones, exploring his rhythmic relationship to their formations. In collaboration with artist Amy Lawrence, Kyle is creating a 360 spatial sound piece that immerses the audience in a multi-dimensional auditory experience, while incorporating animation to interpret the stones frequencies visually. His work blends sound, animation and symbolism to create a captivating sensory journey that explores the intersection of the natural and spiritual worlds.
Eden Harrison’s animated film transports viewers beneath the Cornish sea, where vibrant 360-degree filming and sculptural animation merge to create a playful, tranquil underwater experience. This immersive sensory journey invites audiences to unwind and explore a world of colour and calm, offering a meditative escape into a fantastical submerged realm.
These three projects represent Co-Motion’s commitment to empowering neurodiverse artists, expanding the scope of immersive technology, and creating art that speaks to a wider range of sensory experiences.

Aims of the Project
This Immersive Arts project enables us to explore the possibilities of immersive sound and visual technologies in more depth and to spend more time collaborating together as artists to see what comes from play and experimentation.
Audiences are still learning what immersive arts can offer and this project enables us to produce and present work that goes further, demonstrates new creative possibilities and creates an impactful experience for audiences. We want to have a dialogue with audiences and discover what moves and excites them.
Co-Motion artists want to make sure that neurodiverse voices are included in the conversation as immersive creative tech develops and this project is a huge boost to us in promoting the creative journeys of neurodiverse artists, how we use the technology and what we have to say.
