Amorphous: Playing With Reality

Amorphous: Playing With Reality

Amorphous is a large-scale, multisensory immersive experience that merges interactive scenography, playful tactile installations, optical illusions, narrative design, and multi-user VR to explore one central question: How do we perceive and inhabit our bodies?

Amorphous is a multiplayer location-based experience guiding audiences through a series of rooms where playful storytelling, immersive technology, tactile exhibitions, and intimate testimonies invite participants to explore the plasticity of their physical and emotional selves.

How do we perceive and inhabit our bodies?

Aims of the project

In partnership with researchers at KCL and Birkbeck, we will develop and test prototypes of Amorphous, refining script, accessibility, gameplay, and pacing through workshops with people with lived experience and subject experts.

Building on prior work and VR prototypes, we will create an end-to-end test of the multi-format immersive experience, blending physical and digital interactivity, working towards a showcase with invited audience, which will set the shape for full production of the work.
