Immersed In Minds of Makers
Immersed In Minds of Makers dissolves the line between viewer and creator, placing you in the dimension and the minds of makers.
Many aspects of creative processes remain unseen, from the thought processes behind an idea, the handling of materials, to the personal environment and landscapes in which the maker lives and works. Through immersive tools such as 360º audio and video, I aim to bring these elements to the forefront, offering audiences a closer, more intimate access to the world and perspective of the creative practitioner.

At its core, the project is about learning and storytelling, reframing creative practice from within, discovering new perspectives on process, and opening alternative pathways for audiences to engage with creativity.
Aims of the project
I intend to collaborate initially with two to three artists during the funded period, developing sensory-rich observations centred on the act of making. Working with new immersive technologies will involve a significant process of learning and experimentation; this openness is integral to the project.
Rather than predetermining outcomes, I aim to allow the methodology and encounters to shape the work as it unfolds.
Meet the artist
Rob White
Artist/Producer
he/him
Rob White is a multidisciplinary artist based in Mid-Wales, UK, working across digital animation, illustration, painting and sculpture. With over twenty-five years’ experience in commercial creative industries, he has collaborated on projects spanning advertising, editorial, publishing, fashion and music. Recently awarded an MA in Fine Art from Aberystwyth University, his practice bridges traditional media, pencil, ink, paint and wood sculpture alongside animation, audio and digital processes. His abstract paintings and animations probe the unknown, drawing on contemporary science and philosophy to explore consciousness, mortality and the limits of human understanding.
