Immersive Inclusion

Immersive Inclusion

We will experiment with 360-degree video and spatial audio to develop my own immersive arts practice.

I will work with other neurodivergent and disabled creatives to co-create experiences and work, where we will build skills and confidence together, and test new methods for storytelling and representing our own voices and experiences.

Immersive Inclusion is an artist-led research and development project exploring how 360-degree video and spatial audio can be used to tell the stories of neurodivergent and disabled people. Led by VJ Appleton, the project experiments with immersive technologies as tools for inclusive, sensory-rich storytelling.

Aims of the project

Through a series of collaborative workshops in Swansea, VJ will work alongside other neurodivergent and disabled creatives to build skills, prototype ideas and test accessible approaches to immersive production.

The focus is on learning, experimentation and co-creation, thereby developing confidence, technical understanding and new methods that can inform future inclusive arts practice.
