Exploring Immersive Storytelling Pathways
Exploring Immersive Storytelling Pathways
From the explorations I carry out under the guidance of Neon8 I will discover how I might be able to make use of immersive technologies in the creation and telling of age-old, universal stories, written from the perspective of being a middle-aged woman.

Aims of the project
This project will enable me to spend focused time with Kelman Greig-Kicks, creative director at Neon8, who will provide a headset for me to explore and be inspired by pivotal immersive artworks, guide me through the technology of immersive possibilities and enable me to sample the VR space with my own images and animations.
I will be able to explore how my storytelling could resonate more deeply with audiences as each viewer considers their own position within a universal story in an immersive setting. At this point I know little of what emotional textures I could achieve through using these technologies, but this project will provide me with the opportunity to discover what new colours and shades of emotional expression and communication I could access.
Being able to view pivotal immersive artworks with a VR headset will enable me to access new sources of inspiration for unique creative ideas, observations and stories as well as providing insight into possible new and contemporary ways of sharing some of the work I have previously created.
