Exploring the use of modern technologies to help create new audiences for Opera
I intend to explore the scope of using modern technologies to make opera and classical singing more accessible to a modern audience that has never thought of visiting an opera house or attending a concert and learn how to implement these new strategies to create works in Welsh and English.
I hope to find new ways to engage with audiences and present classical singing and opera in fresh new, unexpected ways, and help create a new way of experiencing and interacting with the voice.

Aims of the project
This funding will help me see what is possible and find more modern ways of creating immersive works. I hope to get the chance to experience how other artists are using technology and learn from their practice to find ways that I can incorporate it in my own work.
I believe that this will help expand my creative practice and open new avenues for expression and help me take performances to a new audience in a fresh new way, reaching more people and engaging with a more diverse audience. I would like to experiment with virtual reality and explore the possibilities and new creative avenues that it will open up for me in my practice.
I hope to connect with other musicians, artists, and performers, see how they use technology in their work and see how I can incorporate it into my own work on a small and larger scale to create opera performances and classical works in a truly fresh and innovative way.
