By fusing tradition with innovation, it transforms the historic space into a dynamic, immersive experience. Through the interplay of light, sound, visual art, and movement, a dreamlike world awaits where the boundaries between history and imagination blur.
Inspired by the Camera Obscura’s original purpose — capturing and reframing perspectives — this interactive exhibit encourages viewers to see the familiar through a new lens. Layers of sensory storytelling reveal unexpected narratives, drawing connections between Llandudno’s rich heritage and present-day creativity.
This project celebrates the enduring magic of observation, inviting participants to pause, reflect, and experience the world around them in a fresh, imaginative way. Aims of the project
With the support of funding, this project will be a transformative step in my artistic journey, allowing me to further explore immersive and interactive art.
I aim to develop my technical skills and enhance my ability to create installations that express my thought process. By incorporating these technologies, I can craft engaging environments. I am looking forward to collaborating with others to deepen my skills and inspire new approaches.
Having previously worked with installation art, I’ve found it to be one of the most effective ways to convey my concepts. By immersing viewers in a layered, sensory experience, I hope to evoke curiosity, reflection, and a renewed sense of wonder. This funding will provide the resources and space necessary to realise my vision and contribute meaningfully to the contemporary art landscape.

Nadia Wazera
Lead artist
Nadia Wazera is a visual artist, an arts, health & wellbeing practitioner, and creative mentor with an interest in the role of artists as creative catalysts. Her work delves into dreamlike and ethereal themes, often inspired by nature and the subconscious. Nadia uses mediums such as painting, print, sculpture and site specific installation art to express her thoughts, feelings and societal observations.
Passionate about accessibility in the arts she has over 20 years experience of nurturing partnerships and creating projects that foster social inclusion and personal growth. Nadia prides her self on a varied portfolio that spans across the public, private and third sector, covering schools, galleries, museums and care settings. Nadia firmly believes that access to creative and cultural opportunities are a fundamental human right and essential for overall wellbeing.
