Strandfall

Strandfall

Equipped with custom spatial computers, survivors navigate a storm-ravaged park and negotiate the future of their community in this highly physical outdoor mixed-reality larp (live action role-playing game).

Experiment

£20,000

Aims of the project

Strandfall is an outdoor mixed-reality experience incorporating spatial computing and larp (live action role-playing game). Players are survivors of a global environmental disaster that has unleashed deadly storms. For 3 hours, they assemble at a park in Edinburgh to investigate the origin of the apocalypse and decide where to go next.

The experience is physically demanding and uses novel spatial computers with long range, low-power radios.
