Lingua Emergent
An experimental prototype using VR and sound to capture how language and culture shape perception, memory, and human connection.
Lingua Emergent is an interactive digital piece, exploring how language forms, shifts, and settles within us. Developed in Unreal Engine, the project invites audiences into an immersive spatial environment where fragmented sounds, mumbles, and phonetic textures gradually evolve into recognisable words. Language is treated not as a fixed system, but as something fluid that grows through movement and interaction.

Dragos Musat

Dragos Musat (born 1989) is a multidisciplinary Romanian visual artist and animator currently living and working in Belfast.
His work draws heavily on surrealism, 1990s’ cartoons, sci-fi, and childhood impressions of growing up in post-communist Romania.
Dragos began his career as a graphic designer which has left an indelible imprint on his artistic practice through developing a keen interest in digital platforms.
An avid draughtsman, Dragos is forever exploring novel ways in which to bridge his drawing practice with emerging technologies.
Jude Quinn

Jude has worked as an actor with companies including Prime Cut, Ulster Theatre Company, Riverside Theatre, ART NI & Cahoots NI. Jude also worked as a Clown Doctor which lead him to train at L’Ecole Internationale de Theatre Jacques Lecoq & Ecole Philippe Gaulier. With Amadan he has been able to put his unique skills to work & concentrate on his favourite performance styles – Clown & Bouffon.
Cameron Clarke

Cameron Clarke is a sound and multimedia artist from Belfast. His work primarily focuses on creative playful interaction with public spaces through developing site specific sound installations. Cameron is a committed urbanist, usually substituting his studio for a pedestrian tunnel, bridge or bus as a place to make work. His approach to making is rooted in DIY culture with a hands-on approach to using public spaces against their intended purpose. He works in the medium of field recording, A/V installation, sound walks, film and interventionist performance.
His work has been commissioned by the Belfast Imagine Festival, Middlesbrough Sonic Arts Week, Golden Thread Gallery and Sonorities Festival. Cameron is a member of Vault Artists Belfast.

Kharis is an Animation graduate from Ulster University Belfast who specialises in 3D modelling, scene prep, animation and texturing.
James Shields

J SHIELDS is an experimental vocalist and ambient music producer from Belfast. Creating immersive music with field recorded samples from nature which underpin synth drones and climactic vocalism.
In 2026. Singing operatics across a four octave range, J brings a truly genre bending experience to audiences. Providing a pseudo-oasis to the hectic fluxes of the modern world, James’s music seeks to reflect the human experience at its core.
