Embodying Liberated Landscapes
Embodying Liberated Landscapes
Exploring how immersive technologies and animation can invite audiences to step inside speculative worlds shaped by Queer and Trans Global Majority stories, histories and futurisms. The project explores how experiencing these landscapes might open space for healing, imagination as a tool for reclamation and reconnection with ourselves.
Embodying Liberated Landscapes explores what it means to step into speculative worlds shaped by ancestral presence, queerness, transness and Queer and Trans Global Majority histories. Through this project, I’d like to experiment with animation and immersive technologies to create environments that audiences can truly begin to experience.

Aims of the project
This project explores how visual storytelling, movement, and sensory experience can help bring these inner worlds into a space that can be experienced. For communities whose histories have been suppressed, erased or silenced, experiential imagination is a powerful tool for reclamation and healing.
Through immersive landscapes shaped by liberation, memory, and joy, Embodying Liberated Landscapes asks how technology can be used to hold space for queer and trans futures, offer healing, offer visions for a world that many are dreaming for, worlds that centre belonging, magic, empathy, ancestral presence and liberation.
