Seeing the world through the lens of fungi is through the lens of symbiosis. The primary lesson that fungi teach is that all life is interconnected, and as the world's grand connectors, decomposers, and resource distributors, mycelial networks demonstrate the universal principle of mutual aid.
In the future we will be relying on fungi to advance and develop resilient models within all areas of society. By considering fungi as a catalyst for change, collaboration and connection between disciplines, this project aims to help challenge current scientific mindsets while offering brand new perspectives with which to view the world. Opening dialogues influenced by the many potential applications of fungi offers examples of solutions to be communicated as acts of political and social activism, promoting growth and positive change. It is with this mindset that Shiv Price aims to inspire the next generation of Mycologists and innovative thinkers by inviting you to Join the Myco Revolution.

Aims of the project
Join the Myco Revolution is an immersive arts project exploring fungi as a metaphor for social and economic systems. Through responsive environments that utilise AR, VR, and MR experiences, audiences can see, feel, and interact with mycelial networks, discovering how invisible systems of mutual aid and cooperation sustain life and have the potential to influence wider societal structures.
Participants contribute to evolving digital ecosystems, embodying collective resilience, symbiosis, and the interconnectedness of nature and community.
This project will explore how immersive technologies can help audiences experience complex hidden networks, interdependence, and collective systems through fungi as a metaphor. I aim to explore immersive digital technologies to make invisible processes visible and tangible, allowing participants to sense, navigate, and interact with dynamic networks.
An immersive journey into the living world of fungi which invites audiences to experience nature’s interconnected design as a catalyst for reimagining resilience, collaboration, and our shared ecological and social futures.

Shiv Price is an interdisciplinary mixed media artist whose work combines sculpture and living materials. She works primarily with fungi, as both medium and metaphor, to explore symbiosis, networks, and ecological systems that reflect on cooperation and adaptability. She is particularly interested in demonstrating fungi’s potential as catalysts for social, ecological, and conceptual change.
Shiv encourages audiences to question their assumptions and perspectives, while imagining brighter, more equitable futures. By educating and opening dialogues about fungi, she hopes to form a renewed connection to human traditions while reconnecting to nature, sparking a curiosity that will spawn the next generation of radical mycologists.
