Listening for the New Dawn
A research project that seeks to explore the intersection between new emerging technologies and human experience.
Listening for the New Dawn will focus on the exploration and discovery of immersive technologies and how they might be utilized and subverted to create new moments of connection, reflection and revelation. Through the research stage of the project I will engage with other artists and creatives and technologists to learn more about how immersive technologies can be used to express the complex and delicate nuances of our experiences as human beings.
The key actives of the project will be interviewing artists, creatives and technologists to support the creation of a new research portfolio, followed by a practical phase of testing new ideas, all orientated around the exploration of immersive art.

David Alexander

David Alexander is a filmmaker and artist. He has created original work for Channel 4, Nowness, the British Film Institute, the Brighton Photo Fringe and the Arts Council England. He has been selected for talent development labs run by the London Film Festival, the Toronto International Film Festival and the Tribeca Film Institute. He has won awards from Time Out magazine and the 46664 Nelson Mandela Foundation. He is an alumni of Goldsmiths University.
