Exploring the possibilities of Immersive Arts to communicate History and Heritage

Immersive creativity for historical storytelling: exploring how to enhance experiences in Museums and/or Heritage sites.

My project explores how immersive art can transform the way museums or heritage sites tell historical and cultural stories. I want to investigate how design, animation, and digital technologies combined can create engaging experiences for the public, in a meaningful and sensorial way.The research combines theory and creative practice.

Aims of the project

During the project, I will make a literature review to understand the conceptualization, knowledge and technical methods applied in immersive art in museums or similar cultural spaces.I expect to navigate on this project in a multidisciplinary and open-ended way, approaching this field with curiosity. I will also train in digital tools, software and experience design to experiment with multimedia installations, responsive environments and 360-degree video storytelling.

My goal is to create a personal Immersive Art Handbook, a practical guide to help conceive and manage immersive museum experiences. It will include creative approaches, technical requirements, and guidelines for planning and producing immersive projects that connect audiences with culture and history.
